Eid ul Adha 2026 has just passed. The three days of sacrifice, prayer, and celebration are behind us now. But for the teams at Help In Need, the last few days were anything but restful.

Qurban 2026 Distribution Complete How HIN Reached Families Across Pakistan This Eid

From Islamabad to Bahawalpur, from Swabi to cities across the country, HIN field workers and volunteers were on the ground every single day. They were cutting, packing, loading, and delivering Qurbani meat to families who needed it most. They were doing this in the heat, across long distances, and often without stopping.

This is the story of what happened this Eid.

Behind Every Distribution, There Is a Team

Before a single package of meat reaches a family’s door, there are days of work that nobody sees.

Beneficiary lists have to be checked. Routes have to be planned. Animals have to be sourced and verified as Shariah compliant. Teams have to be briefed and assigned to their zones. Cold storage has to be arranged. And everyone has to be in the right place at the right time on the right day.

This year, all of that came together.

Our Seasonal Interventions and Orphan Care programme led the ground operations, supported by our trusted partners including IHHNL (IHH Nederland). The preparation started weeks before Eid. The planning meeting with Hasene International at our Islamabad head office was the final checkpoint before everything went live.

You can read more about how that planning came together in our earlier post on the HIN and Hasene Qurban 2026 planning meeting.

When Eid day arrived, the teams were ready.

Spreading Joy in Bahawalpur

One of the highlights of this year’s distribution was the work done in Bahawalpur.

Our Team Transformation reached families in this region and made sure that Qurbani meat was delivered with care and respect. Bahawalpur is home to some of Pakistan’s most vulnerable communities, including families affected by poverty and, in many areas, the lingering effects of past floods.

For many of these families, receiving Qurbani meat on Eid is not just a meal. It is the only time in the year they eat meat at all.

Seeing the faces of children and mothers when a package arrives at their home is something our field workers carry with them long after Eid is over.

Sharing Blessings in Islamabad

In the capital, HIN teams were active across multiple points in Islamabad, distributing Qurbani meat to families enrolled in our programmes.

Many of these families are part of our Orphan Cash Grant Programme. They had already received their quarterly cash support in the weeks before Eid. But cash and meat are two different things. One helps you pay a bill or buy groceries. The other means your children wake up on Eid morning and there is a proper celebration in the house.

We wanted both for every family this year.

Reaching Thousands of Families in Swabi

Reaching Thousands of Families in Swabi

In the district of Swabi, the scale of the distribution was significant.

Thousands of deserving families received Qurbani meat through the dedicated work of HIN teams, made possible by the generous support of our partner IHHNL. The work was carried out under a hot sun, across long distances, and required hours of physical effort from every team member involved.

What made the Swabi distribution stand out was the way it was done. It was not just about dropping off packages and moving on. Each family was approached with dignity. Names were checked. Packages were handed over properly. The interaction was respectful, not rushed.

This is what we mean when we say the true spirit of Qurbani is in carrying the responsibility personally, not just fulfilling it on paper.

This work connects directly to our wider Resilience and Humanitarian Response programme in districts like Swabi, where many families are still rebuilding their lives after years of instability.

Chairman Inam Masoodi Visits Ground Teams on Eid Day

Something that stood out this Eid was the personal involvement of HIN Chairman Mr. Inam Masoodi.

On Qurban Day itself, he visited different Qurbani distribution spots across the country. He reviewed arrangements in person. He guided teams on the ground. He stood alongside field workers throughout the day to make sure that this Amanah was fulfilled properly.

This matters. Leadership that shows up on the hardest day of the year, in the heat, at the distribution point, sets the tone for everyone around it. Our teams worked harder because they knew they were not alone.

Mr. Masoodi’s presence was a reminder of something HIN has always believed. The true spirit of Qurbani is not only in the sacrifice itself. It is in personally carrying the responsibility, supporting the people on the ground, and reaching deserving families with care and respect.

That is how this Eid was done.

UK Islamic Mission Partnership

This year’s Qurban distribution also saw HIN working with UK Islamic Mission, adding to the network of international partners who trusted HIN to deliver their Qurbani on the ground in Pakistan.

This partnership reflects the same model that has allowed HIN to scale its operations year on year. International organisations bring the donors. HIN brings the ground presence, the verified beneficiary lists, the field teams, and the accountability systems.

This Eid, Your Support Reached Families Who Needed It Most

If you donated your Qurbani through HIN this year, here is what your support did.

It reached a family in Bahawalpur who had no other means to celebrate Eid. It put meat on the table of a mother in Islamabad who is raising her children alone. It meant that a family in Swabi, who had been waiting and hoping, did not go through Eid without receiving something.

Behind every package that was delivered, there was a person who donated, a team that prepared, and a field worker who carried it to the door.

All three parts matter equally.

What Comes Next

The three days of Eid are over, but HIN’s work continues.

Our teams are now beginning post-distribution reporting, confirming coverage across all zones, and starting follow-up with beneficiary families. This documentation is what allows HIN to maintain its PCP certification and build trust with donors and partners year after year.

For families enrolled in our Poverty Alleviation and Human Development programme, WASH and Primary Health Care work continues as normal. The Qurban distribution was one part of a much longer commitment.
